Embodied Democrasy – performance/movement/collective creation

Join us for an intensive workshop series with David Glass, exploring embodied democracy through performance, movement, and collective creation.

Dates:
• 30–31 May 2026
• 6–7 June 2026

Time for both weekends
Saturday 13.00-18.00
Sunday 11.00-16.00

What to expect:
Led by David Glass and drawing on his internationally recognised Alchemy of the Extraordinary devising process — developed and shared across 25 countries worldwide — these workshops invite participants into an immersive creative exploration of democracy, imagination, and embodied storytelling.

Together, participants will explore stories of embodied democracy within a future mythic world set in 2072, generating images, fragments, movement, characters, and narratives through collaborative creation. Through physical theatre training, ensemble practice, group improvisation, civic dialogue, and devised performance methods, the workshops investigate the body not simply as a performer’s instrument, but as a living site of imagination, relationship, and democratic possibility.

Open to performers, educators, activists, musicians, dancers, community participants, and anyone interested in collective creativity and the power of embodied practice.

Participants in the workshops will also be invited to take part in the main event in Marathon.

Location: The Art on Dance 3 September 144 Athens Greece

Fess: 120 per workshop
